Siemens ULF trams for Oradea : In one of the most surprising developments amongst recent tramway news, comes an order with Siemens from the Romanian city of Oradea for 10 Ultra Low Floor trams of the Wien (Vienna) class A type. This design of tram was developed for Wien and in 10 years has not achieved a sale elsewhere.

The order is worth EUR 27.5 M (including four years of maintenance), and with delivery due to start in May 2008, suggests that the first cars at least will be taken off the current Wien production line. Oradea has a three-route 44-km tramway system.
