Commuter tram trial in Bendigo : Starting today (Monday 16 March) Bendigo Tramways will run trams every 20 minutes during the morning and afternoon peaks between North Bendigo and Golden Square and the CBD.

Bendigo Tramways, which operates a heritage tramway, ran a week long trial of a commuter service back in December which attracted local residents, as well as out-of-town travellers, but was not an accurate gauge of whether it would be viable. The hope is that a sustained trial will give a greater idea of whether or not people would want to use this service on a regular basis.
