Stadler wins Stuttgart order : Berlin rolling stock builder Stadler of Pankow has won an important order from Stuttgart for 20 Stadtbahn sets in a contract worth EUR 77 M. The two-car sets will be based on the company's Tango design, though non-articulated, and will match the layout of the 38.6-m DT8 cars delivered to Stuttgart by Duewag in 1999-2005.

Delivery will start in 2012, replacing the earliest DT8 cars, which are over 30 years old. The order takes Stadler's success in the tram and light rail market to over 400.
