Further problems in Nancy

The catalogue of troubles with the guided trolleybus continued with the derailment of a vehicle on November 16. This occurred on a curve near Nancy Station. An investigation of the incident concluded that it was caused by a defect in the rail compounded by an inappropriate speed in the curve. The remedial actions decided were to reduce speed to walking pace in the curve, to grind the rail to remove the defect and to grease the curve daily.

A further derailment however occurred on Monday 18 November which has caused the service to be replaced by buses between the CHU Brabois and Sainte-Catherine quay until further investigations are completed.
