Alstom trams for Toulouse

The new EUR 200 million suburban tramway to be built in the French city of Toulouse, linking Blagnac with the metro system, will be operated by Alstom Citadis 302 low-floor trams. Promoting authority Tisséo has ordered 18 cars for EUR 65.8 million, with an option for a further 6. The exterior design of the new trams, due for delivery in 2008, will reflect that many of the passengers will be workers at the Airbus factory in Blagnac.
