DLR Bombardier order

Bombardier Transportation has won a USD91million (GBP50 million) order from the Docklands Light Railway in London to design and build 31 automatically controlled light rail vehicles of the same design as a previous 24 ordered in a USD94 million contract in May 2005.

The new vehicles are to be delivered between July 2008 and October 2009 and will be made at Bombardier's Bautzen plant in Germany, with electrical equipment supplied by the firm's plant in Mannheim and the bogies produced in Siegen.
