After a council meeting that overturned Mayor Ford's subway plans in favour of the previous light rail option reverberations still continue.
Toronto Transit Commission general manager Gary Webster was fired by the TTC board on a 5-4 vote just days after a public meeting in which he spoke his mind, in the most calm and respectful manner, about his views on the best way to expand Toronto’s transit network. Views which differed sharply from those of the Mayor.
