Detroit opening date announced

The USD 142M QLine privately-operated tramway in the Michigan city of Detroit will open on 12 May, with an afternoon ceremony at the Penske Technical Center and public rides in the evening. Revenue service from 13 May will see the Woodward Avenue line carrying passengers 06.00-23.00 Monday-Thursday, 06.00-24.00 Fridays, 08.00-24.00 Saturdays and 08.00-20.00 Sundays. Rolling stock has been provided by Brookville Equipment and features battery operation over much of the line.
