This book gives an interesting insight into one of the key components of what is now the world’s largest tramway network. From its opening in May 1910 the P&MTT was a progressive undertaking, such that – ten years later – its management became the dominant force in the new Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramways Board. The basic design of the city’s iconic and long-lived W-class trams can be traced back to the P&MTT’s drop-frame bogie cars of 1913.

A4 softback; 96 pages, 90+ pictures in black & white and colour, two maps, six car diagrams.
